Program Overview
The internationally acclaimed Eastern Michigan University Choir is a highly select auditioned vocal ensemble. Openly encouraging participation from all majors across campus, the choir maintains a rigorous rehearsal and performance schedule and focuses predominantly on choral art music from around the world. Annual performance tours require a full year of participation (fall and spring semesters). We actively seek an ensemble with broad musical perspectives and encourage students from all musical traditions to audition. This choir will enhance your individual vocal technique, music literacy, and artistic imagination and is a deeply connected place of belonging for all singers.

This year's tour program provides students an opportunity to perform internationally while exploring the Italy. The group will be based in Bologna and Rome with day trips to Florence, Venice, Riomaggiore, Arezzo and Parma. Between performances along the way in locations like St. Marks Square in Venice and Florence's Duomo Square, students will visit the Vatican and its Sistine Chapel, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Cinque Terre's easternmost village, Riomaggiore, with peeling pastel buildings that march down a steep ravine to a tiny harbor.
