Program Overview
Explore the French culture and language in an authentic way through visiting France! Enrich yourself in the architecture, history, geographical location and everyday life of a Parisian. You will be able to walk the streets and neighborhoods of Paris while absorbing the contextual elements of what makes Paris unique and special to the French culture. This programs offers various opportunities to visit world renowned  locations, places and experiences within the student lens outside of the classroom.

  • Spend time in the gardens of Versailles
  • Explore the histories of Carnavalet museum
  • Admire the architecture St. Denis cathedral
  • Walk through the infamous Montmartre neighborhood

Prior to Travel Meeting Dates
There will be several mandatory meeting dates prior to the departure of this trip. Dates will be provided upon acceptance to the program.


Instructor Information
Dr. Audrey Viguier is an Assistant Professor of French in the Department of World Languages here at Eastern Michigan University. Her research focuses primarily on the French Revolution, and more particularly on French feminist Olympe de Gouges. Her secondary specialization revolves around the ideas of Justice and socialism/anarchism in 19th/20th Century France (Anatole France, Pierre-Joseph Proudhon), and she has a third passion: speculative fiction (novels such as Pierre Boulle’s Planet of the Apes).
